The GVSD school websites are built using the WordPress open source content management system (CMS) platform. These websites have been developed so that most content updates can be performed by a content editor at your location, however some areas on the home page can only be changed by contacting IT.
This guide will assist you with common content updating tasks and introduce you the Dashboard. The Dashboard is the backstage area of your site where you can create pages/posts, upload media and add other content types like newsletters, spotlights, rotating banners and more.
The homepage of this site has all of the Widgets, that are available for use, enabled. Click on a Widget to learn more about using it.
Before you begin, please read the Mandatory/Recommended Practices Page, which contains vital information on keeping your website functional and organized. If you have a question regarding your WordPress website, please search for it in our Questions and Answers Page before contacting the Help Desk. You can also view our Sitemap to see an overview of all the pages contained in the Guide.
