The Dashboard is the initial screen you see upon logging in to access WordPress. From here, you can access any of the content areas you wish to add or manage. There is a navigation menu on the left of your screen where you can access the different content areas of the site you wish to manage. This is commonly referred to as the Dashboard Sidebar. Website administrators should bookmark this page (e.g. http://yourschool.sd61.bc.ca/wp-admin).

All of the actions available for creating and editing content can be accessed by using the navigation menu located on the left side of the Dashboard.

Using the Admin Tool Bar

Many of these features are also available by using the admin Tool Bar, located at the top of every page on the website for logged-in users. Utilize this bar for navigating around WordPress, adding and editing content.
