This guide applies to users who want to add media to a page, or upload media to their Media Library.
When adding any media to a page, it first must be uploaded to your Media Library. You can upload images, audio, and documents. Visit this page to learn what filetypes are supported, and what sizes images should be. Video should be uploaded to YouTube and can be embedded using the Insert from URL menu option.
You can choose to upload a file from your computer’s hard drive, an external file from a url, or a file that already exists in your Media Library.
1a.) If adding media to a page: Click the ‘Add Media’ button above the WYSIWYG editor.

1b.) If adding media to the Library: From the Dashboard, click on ‘Media’ and then ‘Add New’.

2.) A new media overlay window will appear. Choose ‘Upload Files’ from this window. Alternatively, if the file already exists in your Media Library, click on ‘Media Library’ and skip to step 4.

3a.) Drag the file onto this window from your computer, or click ‘Select Files’ and navigate to the appropriate folder on your computer. You may upload multiple files this way. These items are now added to the media library for your website.
3b.) If the media you are adding is not located on your website, as is the case for YouTube videos, use the ‘External Media’ option on the left column. You can only add external media when accessing the Media Library from the ‘Add Media’ button over the WYSIWYG Editor.
4.) Select the newly uploaded (or pre-existing) item and fill out the appropriate fields in the new column that appears to the right of the media library — the Attachment Details.
5a.) If inserting an image, or document: Click ‘Insert into Page’ to add the media to your page. Important: When inserting a link to a document, you must change the Title field in the Attachment Options to reflect the name of the link in the page. Changing the Title field does not alter the filename in any way.
5b.) If inserting an audio clip: Select the ‘Audio’ option in the ‘Select Player’ dropdown menu in the Attachment Details column. Then click ‘Insert JW Player’ to add your audio clip to the page.
